Novice or Pro, you can’t make everything. You simply don’t have the time. Luckily, there’s a community of kind-hearted souls sharing their assets. Without any more hesitation, get what you came here for; the best 3D asset sites are below.

Sketchfab:

So real quick, it’s got integration-ready characters, environments, props, and more. You can filter the search to find exactly what you need. Pretty simple, but powerful.

TurboSquid:

A bit more diverse, and if you can’t find what you’re looking for from the free selection, you can also pay for premium assets, but I like to stay on the cheapskate side of things where you can still find realistic objects.

Free3D:

I mean, it’s got “free” in the name. What else can I say? Models, textures, plug-ins, they got it all. It has a great community as well.

CGTrader:

They got some pretty high-quality realistic stuff. Many paid assets are mixed in, but they’re worth checking out, especially if your focus is on architecture.

3D export:

This one’s most definitely worth mentioning. It has a big repository of free assets with more categories than you’ll end up going through. Give it a look.

Before You Go:

So you’ve got what you came here for, but I can’t let you go without mentioning our biggest problem in the 3D space. We keep hoarding more and more assets, and we can’t find them when we need them. I also tire of opening Maya and Blender whenever I need a preview. This is literally what it looks like:

The Solution

If you’re also suffering from clicking folders to infinity syndrome, Shade is for you. Just select your library, and its powerful AI will automatically organize and tag everything, making it searchable. It’s the copilot that goes beyond just a search query and understands exactly what you’re looking for. Go check it out.
